“Welcome to Contractor Marketing Two Minute Tuesday. I’m Brodie Tyler with Inbound Systems and I’m bringing you the quickest, most valuable and most profitable two minutes of your week. Today I’m answering the question: “How long does inbound marketing take to see results?” And I’m going to do that in under two minutes. Ready, set, go!

Alright this is probably the most popular question that we get at Inbound Systems; how long until you’re going to see results? And we can’t really tell the future but I’m going to give you the short answer and the long answer. The short answer is 6-12 months for an average campaign. And that being said there’s a lot that goes into an inbound marketing campaign and a lot of factors so hence my long answer.

1.   Competition– your competition may already be doing inbound marketing and so you got to see are they publishing on their blog, are they getting engagement on social media, are they getting published on other industry related websites. If they are then you have some catch up to do.

2.   Geographic area– the larger the city, the larger the area, the longer it’s going to take you to get results from your inbound marketing, and vice versa. The smaller the city and the town you can get results faster.

3.   Motivation– do you see your competitors and are you just irritated? You’re just wondering what are they doing to get results and generate all these leads and you see them everywhere online? Well if that’s the case and they’re doing a lot of inbound marketing, you’re going to have to throw more resources, and by resources I mean time and money at your inbound marketing campaign. And the more resources that you can throw at your inbound marketing campaign the quicker the results that you’re going to see.

4.   Target niche– are you targeting a very specific niche like senior citizens, or new movers, or are you going after a broad audience? The more broad the audience is, the longer it’s going to take you to get results with your inbound marketing.

5.   Current strategies– what strategies are you implementing right now that are inbound marketing related. The more that you’re doing now, the less time it’s going to take you to ramp up your own inbound marketing strategies.

That’s it. Thanks for watching today’s Contractor Marketing Two Minute Tuesday.”
