Yet it’s still a huge mystery for most manufacturer marketing managers. Not so much of what Google is, but how Google is utilized for bringing in new customers.

Of course you want to get better search results. Everyone who’s anyone uses Google. You yourself have probably used it a dozen times today alone! So who else is using Google (besides everyone)?

Well, if we break down and categorize “everyone” there’s a pretty good chance that a large market of individuals are those looking for solutions to the problems you’re an expert in. Also known as your target market.

Google is like the ultimate middleman, connecting businesses with consumers and other businesses. You don’t have to be a wizard to get Google on your good side, but there are a few secrets you can master that will help you show up on the first page. No magic wand required!

Compelling Content

Google is all about displaying high-quality websites. People go to Google because they want a solution to their problem or an answer to their question. The better and quicker the results are, the happier people stay. It’s the whole “instant gratification” thing people have.

For example, if someone was to search for “California cardboard-box manufacturer,” Google will strive to only display those relevant search results for companies that manufacture cardboard boxes in the California region. Exactly what that manufacturer’s marketing team wants. Should, the first search result not display a company that actually sells boxes, but rather a man who eats cardboard in California, chances are, the searcher isn’t going to find Google’s search results satisfying.

So, how exactly do you get Google to display your business within the highest ranking search results? After all, you already have a high-quality website and relevant content.

Begin with your website; assuming you already have one

Your website needs to be up-to-date with accurate information that includes:Inbound Systems Google searches
